UK Heathrow Airport Operation faces Adverse Weather Conditions
United Kingdom are currently experiencing severe weather conditions, which resulted in several airport closures over the weekend. Most flight departures were cancelled last night and will continue to face delays during Monday the 11th of December.
To ensure that as many shipments are moved as planned, several operational restrictions have been put in place. This includes that UK originating freight will only be accepted 24 hours in advance with a booking confirmation and that the maximum dwell period for intact transfer units remains at 48 hours.
If your shipment booking is affected by the weather conditions, we will ensure it is rebooked onto the next available service. Please check your booking status online before delivering your shipment.
We anticipate that UK arrivals and UK exports will be delayed for the next 48 – 72 hours, until the current back-logs are cleared. Should the Heathrow situation deteriote any further, we will inform accordingly.
